Bellbird Photo Tours is proud to announce a great opportunity for a small number of privileged bird photographers. Based on the success of our long-running Peninsular Malaysia birding tour, we have totally redesigned this tour to allow for the best photographic opportunities of Malaysia’s fantastic birdlife. Join our Australian guide and local bird photography expert in a quest to obtain the best photograph of Pittas, Hornbills, Woodpeckers, Broadbills, Kingfishers, Parrots, Sunbirds and many other enticing tropical birds. Malaysia has excellent infrastructure for bird photography. We’ll stay at comfortable, quality accommodation with a range of food to suit all taste-buds; the road network is excellent, while the locals are friendly and helpful. And the birds…there’s an amazing variety to be photographed, ranging from the stately Crested Fireback and magnificent Rhinoceros Hornbill to forest floor gems like Banded & Mangrove Pitta and Striped Wren-Babbler. Other specialities include Black-bellied Malkoha, Black-thighed Falconet, Large Green Pigeon, Blue-rumped Parrot, Buffy Fish Owl, Rufous-backed Kingfisher, Banded Woodpecker, Crested Jay, Green Magpie, Long-billed Spiderhunter Crimson-breasted Flowerpecker, Malayan Peacock-Pheasant, the strange Rail-Babbler and the cute Black-and-Red Broadbill. There are many mammals (including several species of primates), flowers and beautiful butterflies to be observed. This tour explores one of the richest areas for birds in Southeast Asia, featuring Kuala Selangor, Fraser’s Hill, Bukit Tinggi and various lowland rainforest reserves.
We don’t have departures for the Magic of Malaysia photo tour as of the moment. However, do get in touch with us to register your intent of joining one so that we can organise a possible group or private departure.
